South-east Mauritius, leaves in the trade winds

(01) Our approach

One ingredient: the moringa leaf. We offer it two ways, a spoonful for the kitchen and a tea bag for the evening cup.

(02) The collection

Two forms, one leaf

Each product comes on its own or as a pack of four, with 10% off the pack.

Which one for you?

How to use it

01

The leaf

Everything starts here. The leaves come from small growers in the south-east of the island. They are picked by hand, then prepared in small batches.

02

The powder, in the kitchen

A teaspoon in a smoothie, or in Greek yogurt with seeds and honey. On a broth or an omelette, add it at the end of cooking to keep the colour. Some customers even steep it in a French press.

03

The infusion, in the evening

One tea bag in very hot water, just off the boil. A few minutes, a squeeze of lemon if you like.

(04) Our story

A tree Mauritians have always known

Here, mouroum grows in backyards and ends up in the family broth. Maison Gauderie, based in Ville Noire near Mahébourg, works with small growers in the south-east of the island, including a woman grower from the Ferney Agrihub. We prepare it in small batches to keep it simple.

Benefits, backed by figures

What the leaf really contains

Levels measured by laboratories, with no health promises. They vary with origin, soil and drying.

04

05
